While not patterned after a particular original, this unique knife exhibits characteristics similar to early knives with lead or pewter inlay. The blade is hand forged from file steel. It retains evidence of the file's teeth on the sides and spine and shows some light remnants of hammer and drawfiling marks on it's surface. The poured pewter bolster decoration and butt cap are locked to the antler handle by channels that allow the pewter to flow through the handle. Blade is 5 3/4" long, knife is approx. 10" long overall.
