KENTUCKY FLINTLOCK RIFLE BY G. WEIKER
.40 caliber, 37" octagonal barrel, Buckhorn rear sight with Rocky Mountain front sight. Brass furniture, enhanced strip wood stock. Signed on barrel in script George Weiker. Listed in Sellers, Frank M. American Gunsmiths as working in North Hampton Co., Pennsylvania (1800-1807), Bucks County, PA (1807-1838), then Wayne Co, Ohio (1839-1853). (EST $1500-$2500)
Condition: Barrel is a nice dark brown with some pitting. Lock is brown and pitted. Wood is burned out on the right side of the tang. Stock with some nicks and dings. brass has a nice patina.
ENGRAVED POWDER HORN OF JOHAN CHRESTOPH DATED 1758
15.75" length, with brass covered spout and carrying ring, touch hole, clean-out pin and brush. Engravings of People, forts, ships, villages, houses, cannons, lion with a crown, animals. Another date scratched in of 1762. Wood plug with brass carrying ring. Very nice untouched horn. The bookend dates would signify French and Indian War usage, however no record of militiaman Johan(n) Chrestoph could be found online or in Ancestry.com. (EST $2500-$4500)
Condition: Horn still retains a very nice untouched yellow to brown patina.
LANCASTER ENGRAVED POWDER HORN
12" length with engrailed edge and brass around the spout. Engraved animals, owls, fish, turkeys, vines. Wood plug with old leather strap. (EST $1000-$1500)
Condition: Very nice and untouched with a yellow-to-brown patina.
HENRY BOWERS ENGRAVED NEW YORK MAP POWDER HORN
16 in. overall length, wood plug is 3 x 2.7" in diameter with original wood base held by wood pins. Two raised rings on spout and raised ring at tip. Horn is engraved Henry Bowers with a pair of initials H.B. on the horn as well as the plug. Cities included on the horn are: New York, Chinakety, E. Hvnier, F. Henrik, F. Harkiman, F. Sciler, F. Stainwix, Wood Creek, Royal Blok Hoys, F. Edward, Niagara, Lake Ontario, Saratoga, Stilwater, Half Moon, Albany, and Canada Creek. Images include: ships, buildings, rivers, forts, a man shooting at a deer with his dog nearby, trees, and a windmill. Some of the rivers, human figures and animals are highlighted in light red. (EST $8000-$12000)
Condition: 2 in. crack in bottom of horn. Very light scratches do not detract from the overall appearance of the horn.
INDIAN TOMAHAWK
A forged Missouri-style head, 2.5 x 8", with nicely shaped bowl and rings. The pipe bowl is unusually thick. The 20.5" curly maple haft has a pewter mouth piece, engraved brass bands and silver inlays of hearts, half moons, and large diamonds. There are several examples of this type tomahawk in Peterson's book, American Indian Tomahawks. Ca 1840-1865. (EST $10000-$15000)
Condition: Head shows forging lines and has a stained grey-to-brown look with some pitting. The haft has a nice brown patina with age cracks in the wood. All the inlays are beginning to raise because of wood shrinkage. The haft was lightly cleaned, and more than likely has been changed, many years ago. Evidence of this is a deep black halo around all inlays. There is wear around the area where it would have been held by a hand.

KENTUCKY HUNTING POUCH
Leather; hand-sewn with a piping of leather added over the seams. Eagle embossed on the front of the pouch; the flap embossed with floral designs. (EST $750-$1000)
Condition: Remnants of the leather strap is still attached. The rest of the pouch is in good condition.
