A globe I made for the movie..."The New World"...the one that came out last year about Capt. John Smith and Pocahontas. The globe and stand are reproduced to represent a circa 1600 globe. All hand painted...what a tedious job! S.L.Additional Note: I really enjoyed the challenge of making it...just how does one make a 12" cardboard orb anyway? All old globes have a cardboard core with a thin covering of gesso.
