New Work by Mark Thomas

Maple stocked, 44" long tapered and flared .54 flintlock on a pattern I made that fits me. I've been enamored with some of the original mixed parts guns. These guns used old parts from other guns to keep one shooting, build from scratch with what they had or whatever story one can envision. Since I don't have the cast mounts I fabricated the side plate and modified the trigger guard so the profile resembles one from an Albrecht gun. Scraped and burnished with a rust blued barrel and lock left bright for contrast.
